| How
to copy your DVD movie with DVD-Cloner ?
DVD-Cloner is very easy to install and use.
The first step is installation .Just follow the installing instructions
step by step, and install it to the directory you want, without
any special requirement.
Double click the icon on the desktop to start DVD-Cloner. If it
is your first time to run the software, you need to do some settings
by clicking the small hand in the lower right corner.
In the setting window, please setup a directory to save temp file(default
is C:\TEMP).
You should set the temp directory to a drive with free space more
than 10GB.(If you copy only D5,the free space should be no less
than 5GB)
The number of blank DVDRs needed depends on Clone mode.
A D9 movie will be fit on a blank D5 in Fit on 1 disk mode;
In Split discs mode, a D9 movie will be converted to 2 blank D5
disks.
If you are sure the source drive and target drive are correct,
put the movie in your DVD drive and a blank DVDR in your burner,
now it is ready to back up the DVD. If you have only a DVD burner, the
source drive and target drive can be same.
After these settings, click the biggest button on DVD-Cloner screen
to begin the copy process. All you need just to wait. The time
of the whole process is between half an hour and one hour or so
,then a perfect clone of your DVD movie comes out, which can be
played on any PC or standalone DVD players.
Tips to use DVD-Cloner.
a. How do I decide to clone with a single DVDR or two?
If you clone a D5, please choose Split disk, so the movie on D5
can be converted to a single DVDR flawless .
If you clone a D9, it is better for you to back up in Fit on one
disk mode, to convert a D9 on a single DVDR, There is a little
loss of image quality theoretically, but actually nobody can tell
the visual difference.
b.How to get many copies of one DVD movie efficiently?
The backup to HD feature is recommended. First, please press the
path menu at the end of To field to select a path to save the
image file converted from your DVD. After you get the image file
, please select the video_ts.ifo file as source, your DVD burner
with blank DVDR as target, burn the image file to your DVDR. You
can repeat the procedure to burn video_ts.ifo to your DVDRs to
get more copies.
c.Which is better between DVD-R DVD-RW series and DVD+R,DVD+RW
series?
In light of my experience, it is faster to burn to +R/+RW series
,and various DVD drive and DVD player support them well.Of course
it is just my own opinion, others may have different opinions.
d. When should I check Movie only or uncheck?
In general, if you burn to a single disk, or copy a D5 in Fit
on one disk mode, please uncheck Movie only to keep the integrality
of the original DVD. If you clone a D9 in Split disk mode, now
Movie only is recommended to check Movie only, for the links between
the subpictures are unavailable( cannot jump from the first disk
to the 2nd disk). But if you want to keep the movie only, disregarding
the special features, it is wise to check Movie only in any case.
